If you are a film fan then you are going to love the new TXL37S10 LCD where you can turn your home TV viewing experience into a cinematic one thanks to the Panasonic 24p playback.
You see most Hollywood movies are shot at 24 frames per second which gives films the superb, cinematic, slightly flickering quality we associate with them at the cinema and when the latest blockbuster release is recorded to DVD or Blu-ray, they are also generally encoded using the 24p (24 frames per second, progressive) technology.
The normal issues when we want to view movies on our home TVs, is that they operate at a slightly higher number of frames per second. For perfectly smooth movie images at home, 24p Smooth Film increases the number of frames displayed. That means new frames are inserted, based on the original 24 frames of the movie source, and the frame count is increased to up to 96 frames per second, resulting in unrivalled smoothness and motion transition.
In the new TXL37S10 VIERA LCD, every frame is shown 4 times, which increases the 24p signal to 96Hz. So you can enjoy movies at their original frame rate, just as the director intended.
